Jason Fried is co-founder of 37 Signals a company that builds productivity tools. Their mantra is, ‘Do less than the competition – intentionally.’
He has written some great books, such as, ‘Remote’ and ‘Re:Work’ that don’t waste words but pack a lot of information into three or four paragraphs per chapter.
The main theme in his books is ‘less is more’. If you are building products, less but useful functionality is key. If you work remotely, less but necessary task-completion is key.
How do you do less?
Focus.
Centre into the core task or desired outcome you want to achieve and focus on that.
Remember it’s business not busy-ness that we should be interested in.
